All InsureCert features

In one place. Described in depth.

Account Setup

InsureCert offers three account types:

  • Enterprise account holders can create 'programs' containing configurable online insurance products that can be sold direct to consumer or through a broker.

  • Broker account holders add links to programs and can customize the display of the HTML pages with their agency logo, meta tag keywords, description, and address to help increase local SEO rankings.

  • Agent account holders add links to programs but cannot customize the web pages. When agents are logged into the program domain, they can configure quotes and notify clients their policy is ready to buy.

InsureCert is a complete e-commerce solution that automatically deposits commissions into agent and broker accounts and reports sales to insurers reducing workloads by more than 90%.

Quotes will be delivered to the email address entered and contain a link back to the page created by the producer or agent. Override Premium

If a client enters a value while making a policy that exceeds the rating authority for the program, the client will receive a $0 quote and an invitation for them to continue checking out. Once checked out, the broker will receive a notice that a custom quote is required. An example might be a client entering over 1000 people for a private event. Rather than rejecting the value of >1000 we want to capture the request so we can service the quote manually. The broker would then request a quote from the underwriter for over 1000 people and, once obtained, enter the premium into the Override Premium field. Once entered the broker would "Send Quote" and an email would be sent to the client inviting them to finish their purchase using the premium entered by the broker.

Changing Dates

If a policyholder wants to change the dates of their coverage, you can accommodate the request only if the duration does not change. If the duration (number of days) changes, it will typically change the price of the policy. Any change that affects the premium requires that the Named Insured cancel the incorrect policy and re-purchase a new policy with the correct duration.

Override Venue Type

Depending on which program you are running, some policies use a Venue Type to help administrators of multiple venues manage their certificates of insurance. Some examples are; Community Centre, Playing Field, Ice Rink. Changing the venue type does not typically change the premium so agents can change the venue type via the dashboard: Policies > Search > Click Policy ID# once you are in the policy, you can change the venue type, save your change and then click Send Certificate button to re-broadcast the certificate with the updated venue type.

Override Named Insured

API

An API is a term used in the Application Programming Interface (API) process that uses sets of technologies that enable websites to interact with each other by using REST, SOAP, JavaScript and other web technologies. The technology is used in non-web-based applications, and becoming an increasing trend in "Web 2.0" applications. InsureCert uses a standard REST API. Our workflows can be discovered via our API browser interface and by inspecting the network tab of a browser's development mode:
